Maidstone Camera Club has served photographers in and around Maidstone Kent since 1902. It currently has a membership of over 100 members with a wide range of interests including monochrome and colour printing, audio-visual and projected images.
The club is affiliated to the Kent County Photographic Association (KCPA), and the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB).
Weekly meetings from September to June offer members informative lectures, practical demonstrations and competitions. Full details can be found on the programme page.
The club has long been known for it's innovative and forward looking approach to all aspects of photography. The most recent example being our unreserved acceptance of digital imaging alongside the more established darkroom techniques as part of our objective of ensuring that Maidstone remains at the forefront of photography in Kent.
We are also very competitive and have achieved many notable sucesses both as individuals and as a club in local and national exhibitions and competition 'battles'.
If you feel we can help you develop your interest in our hobby, do try to come along to one of our meetings. They are held at Madginford Hall, Egremont Road, Bearsted, Maidstone, Kent, ME15 8LH every Tuesday night from September through to June. The evening starts at 7.30pm and finishes around 10pm.
Besides the regular programme of events the club holds informal special interest group meetings including:- Audio Visual, Digitial Imaging and Historic Photos.
